Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants will start serving Pepsi products exclusively—and not just for its fizzy namesake soda or Mountain Dew.
Pepsi used its snack business, which includes Doritos, to gain a competitive advantage against Coca-Cola, reports Stephanie Strom at The New York Times.
"That means items on the restaurant menus might someday include a Dorito-crusted wing," Strom writes.
Other Pepsi snacks could also make an appearance on Buffalo Wild Wings' menu.
"They have some incredibly creative culinary innovation, and we’re taking a look at Doritos, Tostitos, Ruffles and Fritos, which fit up very well with our demographic," CEO Sally Smith told the Times.
Buffalo Wild Wings is taking a cue from Taco Bell, which has sold more than $1 billion worth of Doritos Locos Tacos since 2012.
Pepsi also has relationships with professional athletes and sports teams that Buffalo Wild Wings will take advantage of, according to the Times.
Unfortunately, customers won't get to try Dorito-crusted wings for awhile.
Smith told the Associated Press that the brand probably won't start testing products for at least a year.
