In 1980, Harlow Town beat Leicester City in the FA Cup Third Round Replay - Harlow Town v Leicester City. There were celebrations in the Dressing room for team mates of Harlow Town's goal scorer John Macenzie, lifted from his feet, after their triumph over Leicester City.

In 1991, Harlow played host to Prince Charles on his 43rd birthday. Nurse Lesley Green from Princess Alexandra Hospital presented him with a rose to mark the occasion.
